CATTEDRAL
Romanesque cathedral with a crypt with thirty different columns.
Built between the 12th and 13th centuries, this Romanesque cathedral, dedicated to Saint Valentine, houses an astonishing crypt with thirty different columns, whose capitals represent wild or fantastic animals. But this is not the only curiosity of this crypt. In 1991, excavations undertaken following the dismantling of the floor led to the discovery of the previous early Christian church, a mosaic and archbishop's burials dating back to the dawn of Christianity, some 2,000 years ago. A treasure trove of art and history.
