CATTEDRAL
One of the most beautiful examples of Romanesque architecture in the region in Ruvo di Puglia.
This cathedral is one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture in the region. Built between the 12th and 13th centuries, with its campanile separated from the rest of the structure and its three high apses, it is also a prelude to the Gothic. Its sobriety is slightly attenuated by a beautiful rose window and by the typical Apulian ornamentation. The beauty of the three portals, the sculpted griffins and the small decorated brackets can be seen on its façade. The interior, which is very sober, has remains of 15th century frescoes.
