In close proximity to Canosa, on a hill in the south-east of the city, this archeological park is undoubtedly one of the most important sites in the province. Built on an ancient Roman temple probably dedicated to the goddess Minerve, a Paleochristian basilica (fourth century) with a central plan offers its remains in the middle of the olive trees. The pavement still contains fragments of mosaics that reflect the past magnificence of this basilica.
