Begun in 1231 under Frédéric II, this beautiful Romanesque cathedral is more angevine than souba. Rebuilt after the earthquake of 1316, it was also redesigned in the sixteenth century. It is one of the four basilica of Palles, dedicated to the Assunta (Assomption). Two elements of its facade draw attention: the remarkable work of the portal sculpted with biblical scenes, and his pretty rosace. Its interior is baroque, and a painting of the Assumption of Mary (1650) is above the altar.
