A trendy establishment that offers a concept of street food from the sea to be enjoyed take away or on the spot. A whole range of raw fish and seafood, in tartar or carpaccio, or cooked in fried and panini, accompanied by grilled vegetables and enhanced with a touch of organic olive oil are prepared before your eyes. La Pescaria also offers its vegan menu, which is very popular here in southern Italy! But beware, this new place is also a victim of its own success and will certainly ask you to be patient on weekends!

Situato al centro di Polignano a mare.. una sala interna e pochi posti a sedere fuori.

Non sicuramente bisogno di presentare Pescaria ormai si conosce. Avevo come un’unica esperienza la sede di Milano che non mi ha fatto impazzire sinceramente. Ma qui la storia è senza dubbio diversa, il pesce si sente che è proprio di un altro livello.
Certo bisogna aspettare un po’ la fila c’è ma è comunque scorrevole. Si fa fatica a scegliere i panini perché cambi idea ogni volta che ne passa uno.

My husband and I dined here twice while in Polignano. The first time I requested a GF panini and was told only the vegetarian option was possible to make GF and they could definitely cater for me as someone with GF intolerance.
At the time I was so happy, the taste was delicious! The bread was like nothing I’d had before and staff were helpful. I was suspicious but trusted what they said was what I got (I was wrong).
I was sick for two days (I have a gluten intolerance- not coeliac and I was in so much pain for two days with ongoing symptoms).
After returning for a second time and requesting the exact same order, staff advised me they were unable to make the vegetarian panini GF as vegetables were fried. After explaining that they made this GF last time I visited, they agreed to do it as a one off (the two women were so kind at the till and I appreciated them going above and beyond).
When my panini came out it was completely different to what I received two days prior. The bun looked GF and had the typical GF texture. I immediately knew the panini I received two days prior was NOT GF and I could now pinpoint what made me so sick.
Proceed/dine with caution ⛔️ it may be a small mistake but HUGE for those who suffer from food allergies.
