This is a place out of time. The abbey overlooks the sea and offers a spectacular scenic setting to the modest port of San Vito and its colourful boats. Founded by Basilian monks, the monastery was occupied successively by the Benedictines and then the Franciscans. It has been privately owned since the 19th century. The building that can be admired today is the result of several interventions that have modified it over the centuries, especially in the Baroque period when the great loggia facing the sea was added. An unknown and very romantic place.
