DUOMO
Cathedral whose facade was sculpted by Raimondo da Francavilla
The cathedral of Manduria, also known as Chiesa Matrice, was built between the 15th and 16th centuries on the site of a Romanesque church. The facade, with a curved arch, has a rose window and a portal sculpted by Raimondo da Francavilla, a local representative of the Renaissance style (although the two lions guarding the entrance come from the previous Romanesque church). Inside you can admire the 16th century capitals and pieces of furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is surmounted by a majestic bell tower.
