TEMPIETTO DI SEPPANNIBALE
Small Byzantine church with two stone domes in Fasano
Isolated in the countryside, a small Byzantine church of the 10th or 11th century, topped by two stone domes that make it singular. It seems to have been abandoned, but inside, the pictorial cycle, dating from the same period and partially preserved, is worth a visit. Scenes from the Book of Revelation and holy figures can be recognized in it. Archaeological excavations in front of the church have revealed the presence of a settlement from the 4th-7th centuries.
