This delightful restaurant occupies the wing of a 15th century convent, a stone's throw from Piazza Duomo and the Teatro Romano. The historical appeal is combined with refined Italian cuisine, generous in taste and research. The dishes are delicious and the service impeccable, a must. Discover the orecchiette with white bean mousse and toasted bread crumble, the delicious burrata as a starter, or typical Lecce dishes such as ciceri e tria. Pleasant setting and terrace in a small street in the center.

We stopped at Volo restaurant for a light lunch. It was a very tasty experience – 'ciceri e tria', a typical local dish from Lecce. The food was very good. The staff was engaged and friendly. Running the restaurant must be their passion. This place is special for fans of the movie "Mine Vaganti," created by Ferzan Özpetek. The Volo restaurant is located on Paladini Street, which the funeral procession of the grandmother passed through. Directly opposite the entrance gate, through which Nicola led the young grandmother to the wedding reception. It is here that the poignant scene of entering the fenced garden takes place. It is at this place that the wedding-funeral final scene of the film begins.

Excellent well prepared gluten free meals (two fish dishes and an array of apps- gf pasta is also available); excellent service. Only disappointment was the bread served with the meal.

Parto dalle cose positive: il servizio. Nulla da ridire, camerieri cordiali, educati e a modo.
Mi fermo qua, perchè per il resto abbiamo preso un antipasto e due primi. Se l'antipasto era passabile, i primi proprio no. Insapori. Il ristorante non è economico e quindi è evidente che le aspettative si alzano, ma alla fine siamo rimasti delusi.
