CHIESA SANTI NICCOLÒ E CATALDO
Church founded by the Norman Tancredi of Lucce, located inside the cemetery of Lecce.
Situated inside the cemetery of Lecce, this church was founded by the Norman Tancredi of Lecce in 1180. It offers a very curious mixture of styles: the baroque façade, decorated with statues of saints, has been superimposed on the Romanesque forms of the XII century, and the dome on its high drum is in Arabic style. The portal alone sums up various architectural tendencies, with a Byzantine-style plant frieze and a Romanesque scroll in the spandrels.
