ARCIVESCOVILE PALAZZO
The first episcopal palace was built in the first half of the fifteenth century, between 1420 and 1428, on the initiative of Bishop Girolamo Guidano. Several times revamped, seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries (in 1874, last time), by successive bishops of Lecce, the palace today presents a façade pierced by an imposing portal with many arms, including those of the city and the kingdom of Aragon. There is also a beautiful exterior staircase of the eighteenth century and the arcades (seventeenth century).
