An old manor house of the XIXth century located in the middle of the countryside and olive trees with a large swimming pool
In the middle of the countryside and olive groves, this former 19th century manor house is striking for the whiteness of its walls and the sobriety and refinement of its decoration combining two eras. The 27 rooms (as well as a suite and a junior room), a bit of design, are equipped with an independent entrance to the garden. The whole is completed by a large swimming pool and a small spa. In summer, the restaurant is located on the terrace where you can discover local recipes and products from the garden. The house organizes courses of Salentine cooking and courses of tai-chi-chuan.

The pool is a good size with plenty of sun beds. The owners & staff were all really friendly. The room (standard) was small but well-kept, the shower had strong pressure, and overall the room was fine for what we needed. My only criticism is that the AC didn’t get as cold as it should.
Breakfast is a great spread of pastries, freshly baked cakes, yoghurt, fruits, nuts & seeds, breads, cheeses and a couple of cured meats. Coffee (Americano) absolutely delicious!
They put complimentary nibbles out every early evening which is a nice touch.
We ate in the restaurant one evening. The pastas were excellent.
Good place to come to chill with the option of heading into a nice town.
Montelauro è dotata di 29 camere dallo stile semplice, raffinato e dagli interni rustici, quelli tradizionali delle masserie pugliesi.
Noi abbiamo cenato e ci siamo trovati benissimo… cibo ricercato e curato!! gentilissimo il personale!
