Neo-Romanesque church in Attenschwiller, with many remarkable heritage elements and numerous paintings.
The neo-Romanesque church was built between 1878 and 1882. It has many remarkable heritage features, which we strongly encourage you to discover. The wooden statue of Our Lady of the Apocalypse, dated 1520, is magnificent. Look up and admire the lovely fresco on the nave ceiling, painted in 1982 by a local. It depicts the presentation of the scapular to Simon Stock. Numerous paintings, including the Coronation of the Virgin Mary from the 17th and 18th centuries, beautifully restored in 1978. Last but not least, the organ built in 1828 by local man Valentin Rinkenbach. On your way out, take a look at the bell tower with its four bells on two levels, each bearing the names of its godparents.
