The Ionian coast around Gallipoli, from Lido Conchiglie in the north to Punta Pizzo in the south, is made up of dunes, creeks, protected natural areas and long beaches interspersed with cliffs. 2 km south of Gallipoli, the popular Baia Verde is a beautiful sandy beach surrounded by a pine forest. Further down, the beaches of the Punta Pizzo Regional Park are among the most beautiful, especially the paradisiac Punta della Suina, with its "Maldives" waters covering fine golden sand in an incredible bay.
