CHIESA MADRE
Church with a facade with more sober lines, built by Giovanni Maria Tarantino.
Dating from the end of the 16th century, the church has a facade with more sober lines, punctuated by a series of pilasters, topped by an attic and opened in the centre by twin windows. It was built by Giovanni Maria Tarantino and Scipione Fanuli. Of particular interest are two valuable paintings: a Crucifixion by Donato Antonio D'Orlando, an early 17th century artist from Nardò, and a San Sebastian by Mattia Preti, a Calabrian baroque painter inspired by Caravaggio (17th century).
