Bari Airport, also known as Bari-Palese Macchie Airport or Karol Wojtyła Airport, is the largest airport in the Puglia region. Located 9 km northwest of Bari, it plays a key role in the regional and national airport network. The current passenger terminal, built to the highest safety standards and strict operational efficiency regulations, covers an area of around 30,000 square meters spread over five levels, making it one of the most modern structures in the Italian airport system. Thanks to this expansion, Bari airport can handle around 8,000,000 passengers a year.
