MUSEO CIVICO - PINACOTECA COMUNALE
Museum exhibiting archaeological material discovered in the necropolis of Arpi
The museum exhibits archaeological material discovered in the necropolis of Arpi and on the site of Herdoniae, jewellery from the goldsmiths of Monte Sant'Angelo and San Marco, paintings, ceramics, engravings... Outside the Arpi palace you can see the last remains of the palace of Frederick II, where it was surrounded by a sumptuous courtyard, such as the entrance arch, walled, resting on eagle-shaped brackets sculpted by Bartolomeo di Foggia (13th century).
