BASILICA-SANTUARIO SAN FRANCESCO ANTONIO FASANI
Basilica of Angevin Gothic style, housing the remains of San Francesco Antonio Fasani.
A scale model of the cathedral, built in the Angevin Gothic style between 1300 and 1304. The relatively sober facade is pierced by a pretty canopy portal and a rose window. The external polygonal apse is decorated with frescoes from the 14th, 15th and 18th centuries. Under the high altar there is a tomb with the remains of San Francesco Antonio Fasani, a Franciscan father from Lucera who dedicated his life to the poor, canonised on 13 April 1986 by Pope John Paul II.
