CATTEDRAL
Cathedral with an exceptional architecture in Troia.
Its splendid facade is distinguished by a lower order decorated with blind arches, and by an eleven-rayed rose window of a marvel of finesse. Note the rich carved decoration, as well as the bronze doors of the façade portal and of the one on the right side, made at the beginning of the XII century by Oderisio da Benevento. The exceptional architecture of the façade is so well known in the country that it was represented on the old 5,000 lire banknotes.
In the Cathedral Museum there are three illustrated parchment scrolls from the 12th and 13th centuries.
