The jalantuùmene were, in the local dialect, the wise men of old (lawyers, teachers, doctors). Today, the jalantuùmene of the kitchen are the owners of this famous address, installed on a small picturesque square. The quality of the dishes is based on natural, peasant recipes, prepared with know-how. Try the pancotto (bread baked by the farmer with vegetables from the Gargano), orecchiette with courgettes, almonds and pecorino, or costolette di capretto, venison chops with thistles, potatoes and lemon.

What an excellent evening my boyfriend and I had in this lovely restaurant in the old historical center of Monte Sant'Angelo!

The food was great and very tasteful, the restaurant's interior was lovely and decorated with interesting works of art. The service was very friendly and helpful. We were both charmed that the chef personally came to our table to recommend us a nice bottle of wine.

A great experience overall.

Siamo stati a cena dal Li Jalantuùmene il 14 agosto; il ristorante immerso in una magica atmosfera della Puglia di altri tempi ci ha regalato un tripudio di sapori e profumi sapientemente amalgamati da Gege e dalla sua proverbiale accoglienza.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening of delicious food. The chef prepared us a handmade gluten-free dinner of six courses. It was fantastic!

Il ristorante è in una posizione perfetta per unire una visita al borgo di Monte Sant'Agelo e un ottimo pasto, si trova in pieno centro storico in una piazza graziosa e a meno di 5 min a piedi dal santuario dell'arcangelo Michele.

Ho trovato l'offerta della cucina davvero coerente con il territorio e soprattutto ricca di piatti buoni e interessanti.

Il servizio è stato impeccabile, attento e cordialissimo, il locale è gestito da Gegè Mangano, istrionico chef, e sua moglie, gentilissima caposala. Entrambi hanno la piacevole abitudine di interagire con i clienti e raccontare la loro storia e il loro impegno nella ristorazione.

Nel menù mi sento di consigliare specialmente le carni che ho trovato cotte in maniera impeccabile.

In generale un esperienza davvero positiva con un prezzo giusto per un pasto che ti lascia sazio e arricchito.
