CHIESA SAN MICHELE ARCANGELO
Romanesque church with beautiful statues and frescoes in Potenza.
A Romanesque building attributed to the master Sarolo di Muro (12th century), the church was heavily restored in 1849. The three-nave interior includes a beautiful eighteenth-century statue of St Anthony, a predella depicting Christ and the Apostles, which was probably part of a polyptych (fifteenth century), and sixteenth-century frescoes by Gerolamo Stabile (Madonna del Rosario con i Misteri) and Teodoro d'Errico (Madonna with Bambino and Santi).
