MUSEO ARCHEOLOGICO NAZIONALE " DINU ADAMESTEANU "
Collections of relics from Prehistory to the Roman period in an archaeological museum in Potenza.
The palace was built in 1612 at the request of Count Carlo Loffredo, a former seigneurial residence. Since 2005, it has housed the National Archaeological Museum of Basilicata, dedicated to the "founder" of local archaeology, the Romanian Dinu Adamesteanu, who was at the origin of the discovery and excavation of sites in the region. The museum brings together, on two floors, collections of remains from Prehistory to Roman times. A fascinating panorama of the history of the region.
