Various archaeological materials in a museum of Potenza.
This museum displays archaeological material from all over the region, from Prehistory to Roman times. Among the highlights are a torso of kouros in Parian marble (6th century BC), polychrome architectural terracottas from the temple of Apollo Liceo in Metaponte, the Tempietto di Garguso in white marble from the 5th century BC, the Persephone, an alabaster statuette from the 6th century BC, and inscriptions in Greek, Messapian and Latin.
