An impressive statue on the top of Mount San Biagio in Marartea.
In 1965, on the summit of Mount San Biagio, the Florentine sculptor Bruno Innocenti erected a colossal statue of Christ the Redeemer, with arms wide open, nearly 22 metres high. Visible for miles around, it quickly became the emblem of the city. Brother of the Cristo Redentor of Rio and the Cristo Rei of Lisbon, this imposing Christ who seems to protect the city is almost as big, but much less known! Spectacular panorama on the coast from the belvedere.
