SANTUARIO SANTA MARIA DEL CASTELLO
In this sanctuary, you can admire beautiful works in marble, wood and some paintings
Basilica of the Norman period reworked several times, including in 1769. Its façade preserves two Romanesque portals and traces of 15th century frescoes under the portico. Inside, there are beautiful works in marble, wood (including a late Renaissance choir of the Cerchiaro) and some paintings (including the venerated 13th-century fresco of the Madonna del Castello with the Child). The basilica offers an enchanting view of the Pollino to the north and the surrounding mountains.
