This beautiful artificial lake surrounded by fir trees, at an altitude of 1,133 metres, is a much appreciated walking destination. It is well laid out, with many picnic areas around the lake. A fallow deer and deer farm is located nearby. This is the gateway to the Sila National Park, and the Centro Visita Cupone, the park's information office, will give you all the information you need about the park. Continuing along the SS177, you reach the Gallopane Reserve, one of the most extensive forests in Sila.
