CHIESA SANT'ANTONIO DA PADOVA
Church in late baroque style with paintings of the Neapolitan school
The church was built in the mid-sixteenth century, but like all the churches in the city, it bears the marks of a late Baroque style, very fashionable in the eighteenth century in Calabria. Its domes are covered with coloured majolica tiles. The interior is enriched with stucco decorations and preserves a beautifully carved and gilded organ, as well as canvases from the Neapolitan school. In the sacristy, a marble mausoleum dating back to the 16th century bears witness to the original period of the church.
