Built as a military fortress in 1073, the castle underwent a series of transformations over time, until the 19th century, and reinforced concrete was used in some of the corridors! It was owned by the powerful Ruffo family in the 15th century, the Saluzzo Genovesi in the 18th century, and the Campagna barons in the 19th century. You can visit the prisons, the 19th century kitchens, the elegant "salone degli Specchi", the rooms decorated with frescoes, the Sant'Agostino chapel (second half of the 17th century), the keep, which is the emblem of the castle.
