Historic center with many old palaces in the old town
It is reached by a winding road, 4 km from Rossano Scalo, the modern part of the town. The historic centre is centred around Corso Garibaldi, the main axis that crosses Piazza Santi Anargiri and Piazza Steri, dominated by the clock tower. From here, a stairway leads to Piazza del Duomo. Among the many old palaces in the old town are the Palazzo Amantea (Piazza Santi Anargiri), one of the most beautiful, the 19th century Palazzo de Rosis and the Palazzo Martucci (Piazza Martucci), one of the most sumptuous and famous.
