This archaeological museum traces the great phases of the historical-cultural evolution of the province.
After recent excavations and restoration work, the castle now houses the Archaeological Museum of the territory, which traces the main phases of the historical-cultural evolution of the province. A first section presents the results of the excavations carried out in the castle: these have yielded fragments of Byzantine frescoes, ceramics and objects of daily life from the successive eras (Byzantine, Norman, Angevin...). The second section is dedicated to the archaeology of the territory of Santa Severina.
