This park allows you to discover the vestiges which go back for the most part to the Roman period

The Greek city of Skylletion was founded in the 6th and5th centuries BC by settlers from Athens or Crotone. However, most of the remains that can be admired date back to Roman times, when Scolacium became one of the most important cities in the region. We visit the paved forum, surrounded by public and religious buildings, the remains of the theatre and the amphitheatre. At the entrance to the site, the imposing ruins of the Norman church of Santa Maria della Roccella.
