Hotel with a private beach and offering rooms with terrace for a pleasant stay
Set on a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea, this charming hotel enjoys an exceptional location, with its own private beach which you can reach by lift! There are all categories of rooms: simple, standard, family, luxury (with private terrace and whirlpool bath...), as well as numerous bungalows scattered in a Mediterranean garden. Tennis, private beach, swimming pool, sauna, and even five restaurants including a pizzeria on the beach. Everything for a pleasant stay with, for some rooms, a magnificent view of the park, the swimming pool and the sea.

The family rooms with four beds and two bathrooms are very spacious. The bathrooms are clean enough but do need renovating, as there was mold in our big bathroom by the bath (the shower was better). Our curtains were not really clean & the windows could have used a clean too but all in all we were happy with our room & the fantastic sea view!
-> An family room option for families with three children is not bookable over booking. The number of beds were unclear. Families with more than two children do not want to split up for a holiday and booking two rooms is too expensive... An official & clearly defined five bed family room option would be ideal.
We were able to take a look at the newly renovated double rooms & they were very nicely done!
The breakfast buffet was big & there was a large selection of everything. Our children only missed the cinnamon & sugar for the pancakes :-).
Unfortunately the dining area was very cold & we had to wear long pants & a jersey to eat because of the cold, which is a shame on holiday. The outside area was always full, probably due to the cold inside...
There is a lift down to the beach but we always took the stairs, definitely worth the view! The beach area is quite cramped & swimming shoes are recommended to walk on the beach or for swimming but the water is magnificent!
The hotel is also wonderfully situated, a ten minute walk past shops & restaurants takes you to the heart of Tropea. Saturday Market is a two minute walk from the hotel. The beach pathway also leads to the beautiful beach in Tropea.
Some additional hotel information on arrival (sports, beach restaurant) would have been good, or a hotel plan in the room. We only realised that there was a football/tennis court on the second last day.
We didn't have any problems regarding sunbeds at the pool as we visited in October & there was more than enough space.
The staff were all very friendly, special greetings to Marianna & Carlo!
All in all a great holiday & can fully recommend!
