CHIESA MATRIX
Extensively restored church with some interesting works of art
Deeply restored in 1964-1965 and preceded by a façade with a modern columned portico, the church is dedicated to the Immacolata. Inside there are some interesting works of art: an 18th century polychrome marble high altar; a painting of the Madonna della Porta by the Master of Galatina, dated 1440s; a Pietà and the Vision of St. Andrew, two paintings by Giacinto Diano (18th century); the Immacolata e angeli by Giovan Battista Ortega (1608); a marble bust of St. Peter, sculpted by a disciple of Bernini.
