Huge rock near the eastern entrance of the Valley of Fire park resembling a pachyderm with a disproportionately long trunk
Close to the east entrance, Elephant Rock is a huge rock carved by erosion in the shape of a pachyderm with a disproportionately long trunk. It is one of the best-known and most photographed formations in the Valley of Fire. The Fire Canyon/Silica Dome site, meanwhile, offers fine views of the park and surrounding silica domes. It is reached by a 1 km trail from Rainbow Vista.
