LOST CITY MUSEUM
Modest museum with 2 types of habitat presenting vestiges brought to light during the excavations on the site of an Indian village.
This modest museum, built in 1935, is one of six state museums in Nevada. It displays the remains uncovered during excavations on the site of an Indian village (Pueblo Grande de Nevada), deserted in 1150 after multiple occupations. Outside, two types of habitat can be observed: a pit house, a partially buried shelter, located in front of the central entrance; and several pueblos, houses made of stones, mud and branches, on the right-hand side of the building. The museum features temporary exhibitions. Interesting stuff!
