A walk around Barber Peak in Mojave National Preserve.
Barber Peak loop trail is a hike around Barber Peak west of Hole-in-the-Wall Campground, past Opalite Cliffs and back to Hole-in-the-Wall via Banshee Canyon. It takes about 9 km to do the full loop. Caruthers Canyon is a hike (about 9 km) through one of the most diverse areas of the Mojave: conifers, oaks, coastal zone plants, including manzanita, yerba santa (Mexican pepper tree), ceanothe (California lilac).
