QUAIL BASIN
Quail pond suitable to reach the small valley with yuccas and junipers in the south of Mojave National Preserve
Head south to reach a small valley dotted with yucca and juniper trees. After completing the loop, return by the same route. This trail is made up of a network of old mining roads in the Providence Mountains. Closed to vehicles, the area is a picturesque corner of the Mojave Desert. At the eastern end, you'll find the remains of a windmill and the Hidden Hill mine cabin. To the west, where this trail begins, you'll discover wind-sculpted rocks and cacti.
