The national holiday, usually martial, with military parades in Yerevan, and bon enfant, with fireworks and concerts.
Independence Day in 1991 is the national holiday (Angakhoutian Don). Yerevan Republic Square vibrates to the rhythm of the soldiers and tanks of the national army marching behind the red-blue-orange banner of the Republic. In addition to demonstrations of strength, Independence is celebrated with fireworks and concerts. Since the "Velvet Revolution" of 2018, the festival is less martial and tends to become a popular festival.
