PARADJANOV MUSEUM
A museum paying tribute to the great filmmaker and artist Sergei Paradjanov, exhibiting his collages, hats and other objects.
The museum, inaugurated in 1991, one year after the death of Sergei Paradjanov (1924-1990), bears witness to the Armenian ties of the great filmmaker and artist, even though he lived mainly in Tbilisi. An attachment that he expressed in Sayat Nova or The Color of the Pomegranate, banned from the screen during the Soviet era for its aestheticism deemed decadent. This museum, installed in the small house where he lived before he was struck down by illness, pays tribute to him by exhibiting his collages, but also hats, costumes and other objects that plunge us into the rich universe of the artist.
