SPENDIARY MUSEUM
Museum dedicated to Alexander Spendiarian, a great Armenian musician, exhibiting his manuscripts and personal objects.
This museum is dedicated to one of the greatest Armenian musicians, Alexander Spendiarian (1871-1928) who was a glory of Soviet Armenia. He also gave his name to the Yerevan Opera House, an imposing grey basalt building in the neo-Armenian Soviet style, nestled in the greenery of Freedom Square, which still hosts the capital's great lyrical and choreographic performances. In addition to his precious violin, the museum exhibits the manuscripts and personal objects that belonged to the great Armenian composer and conductor.
