GENOCIDE MUSEUM
Genocide Museum overlooking the Hrazdan, retracing the suffering of Armenians during the Ottoman Empire between 1915 and 1922.
For the 80th anniversary of the Armenian genocide, a museum was set up in 1996, adjacent to the memorial on the heights of Tsitsernakaberd, overlooking the Hrazdan. The exhibition includes photographs and archival documents, which bear overwhelming testimony to the suffering of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire in 1915-1922. A museum of memory that recalls the reality of a genocide that Turkey persists in denying. Together with the memorial, the Genocide Museum is included in the itinerary of foreign personalities visiting Yerevan who sign the guest book.
