He's the tebasaki specialist, roasted chicken wings. The menu includes over 30 varieties of grilled fish, dozens of vegetables and kushiyaki. The place is noisy and lively; many Japanese students and young professionals come back here, in the heart of the Sawtel district that is nicknamed, not without reason, Japantown.

Always a great time at furaibo but a bit in the expensive side.

Our favorite izakaya restaurant on the Westside! Love the food and overall casual, cozy ambience of the restaurant. Parking for customers is convenient and available in the back of the restaurant.

Great food at a great price with guaranteed parking spot at the very very busy sawtelle center
We paid and got our change back and we decided to head out and as soon as we walked out a manger I'm assuming came to confront us about why we didn't leave a tip. She told me this wasn't McDonalds and that we can't just pay for our meal and we need to leave a tip.
Now for me this really made me upset as I understand tipping is a hot topic but, I didn't have any cash on me and my girlfriend had the only cash to cover the meal and that was it. I do usually tip at most restaurants too but I was strapped for cash this once.
What I'm trying to say is, if some students had decided to eat here after school and they had planned it, would they be chased out for being high schoolers? I found this very immature to follow us out and if I had not had this situation I would've tipped next time I came here but sadly, I cannot in good faith support that type of behavior.
The food was good but this also reflected on how I viewed the tipping situation, we had chicken wings and chicken skewers.
