The general opinion of the Angelenos (and ours as well) is that Thai Town's Thai restaurants are frankly mediocre. That's probably why Night + Market Song, this small ultra trendy restaurant located on Sunset Boulevard run by Kris Yenbamroong, is a real hit. This young film graduate chef has no culinary training other than growing up in a family of Thai restaurateurs in L.A. The whimsical, colourful and trendy decoration is the ideal setting to uncork a Thai beer before an evening in the neighbourhood's bars! Surprisingly cheap, Night + Market Song offers an authentic cuisine, with sharp and fresh flavours. Try coconut rice, a sticky rice cooked in coconut milk, and, at lunch, Thai Boxing Chicken, a barbecue chicken traditionally served around Bangkok's boxing rings by street vendors.

Our dinner should have be illegal and needed health warnings. Sierously. It's 24 hour later and we both have the worst salt hangover we've ever experienced in our lives. We feel awful. The entire day feels as if my eyes and throat have been coated with ocean water.

Service was fun, the place was festive as usual, and sadly the food was so buried with a Mt. Everest amount of salt (and sugar) that you have to wonder. Just an awful experience that leaves us feeling angry and sick. Literally sick. Wasted an entire Sunday trying to recover from it... headaches, dry throat, etc.

What's the joy of eating that sort of cuisine?? It was never like this at Night + Market. It will be my last time.

The best Thai food I have ever had in Los Angeles, excellent vibe, flavors hit hard and the spice levels are great even for the most willing of spice fiends. Recommend this to anyone who loves Thai. Was a favorite of Anthony Bourdain and now is a favorite of mine.

Ordered take out and it took 1 hour when they told me 30 mins. Food is decent and the restaurant seems super packed with people waiting outside. Personally I’m not sure if it’s worth it if you aren’t a local. But seems super popular so I might be the anomaly.

Ordered the chicken pad see ew…so gross. Chicken had bones and lots of fat so constantly spitting out pieces. None of our tables food came out at the same time, 25 minutes from when the first person was served to the last. Music way too loud but decent decor inside.

Everything was unbelievably delicious — and if it says it’s a spicy dish… IT’S SPICY! You have been forewarned!! Even the waitstaff recommended we take the spicy level down a bit, just in case.
It is a little loud inside the dining room, head’s up. But the rave-atmosphere in the bathroom made it up for me.
