In the heart of the Arts District, Manuela offers inventive, refined and authentic cuisine. The emphasis is on seasonal produce: the chef only buys from producers and farmers in Southern California. On the menu: fine cuts of meat, fish and seafood, as well as a vast selection of vegetables and seeds. And every weekend, locals flock to the restaurant for its elegant brunch, where shrimp with bacon and fresh mushrooms sit alongside classics such as eggs Benedict.

There are several vegan options, even though they aren't marked on the menu. Mains: the oyster mushroom can be made vegan. Sides: Any of the vegetable sides can be made vegan, like the okra and cauliflower. The breads and desserts are all NON-vegan, except the pear sorbet.
