This deli, one of the few cheap addresses in Beverly Hills, has the charm of an authentic place. Nate'n Al has been in existence since 1945 and for the most part hosts a clientele of visitors. The interior is vintage with old leather benches. The whole garden is orange or brown… until the boxes of matches. On the menu, there are countless sandwiches for a very rich meal. We recommend la salad with chocolate foam pudding.

Not sure why there are negative review but we had such a lovely experience having lunch here! The corn beef and hash was unique and delish!! Also the Nate and Al’s signature sandwich was awesome too! The way that the sandwich was crafted allowed the natural taste of the beef pastrami to shine. Portions are huge!! So if you are Asian who eats like a bird, best that you share. The service was also the best! The lady made sure we were well taken care of and made us feel at home! Great overall experience!

Great breakfast!

This is not the place we all remember. It was bought out. The pastrami was horrible, no brine, no fat. Like something from Safeway. Stale bread. Bland soup. Place was empty middle of the day. Wish I had known, we drove three hours. Do not go.

I had the tuna on rye and potato salad. The potato salad that comes w/the sandwich is so tiny (size of those little condiment cups!). I also tried their matzo ball soup (not good). The food was ok, it’s a bit overrated IMO.

Ordered the Matzo Brei Which I’ve had countless times asked the waiter If it came with the Fresh blackberry preserves, he said yes, the dish came out, soggy and wet and with Smuckers jelly, the Manager named honor said there was nothing wrong with the dish. They no longer serve the blackberry preserves and billed me $17 even though we asked her to take it back. She said she was not authorized to remove it from my bill. I told her I was dissatisfied, wouldn’t come back and would be writing a negative review. She continued to make excuses They don’t do things the way the old owners used to. This is unfortunate because Nate and Al’s has been an icon of this community for many years and I have very fond memories I won’t be returning.
