A hotel that combines elegance and simplicity thanks to rooms with a refined decoration, and arranged with care in the heart of Little Tokyo

In the heart of Little Tokyo - and a 5-minute walk from the subway - this hotel combines elegance and simplicity with cleanly decorated rooms, carefully arranged in the Japanese spirit. It also has a gym, a business center and even a gift store. Also, the tour desk can be particularly helpful in organizing guided tours. All in all, with over 25 years of experience, Miyako Hotel is one of the best options in Downtown today.

Toilet comes with a bidget, which is a plus for us
Very near to Little Tokyo, accessible to japanese cuisines
Comfortable room with stress relief toiletries from Bath & Bodyworks, alcohol, make-up removal wipes, complimentary coffee, and tea
Grand Central Market is 15 minutes away, and Angel's Flight Railway is a minute from market
Valet parking is available at 45 per 24 hours

Ill say this up front, you have to pay the $45 a day and a mandatory 3 day minimum for valet parking so $135 if you’re starting 3 nights. Then add the $200 hold placed on your CC, this place is too greedy. Oh and did i mention that if you are above 6 feet tall get ready to bump your head everywhere? No wonder why LA has the worst homeless problem in the country, the wage disparity out here is obscene. The contrast between the ppl sleeping on the street while ppl park their G WAGONS AND ASTON MARTINS in front of them is disgusting.

I stayed here for 11 days after moving from the Westin Bonaventure and it was almost perfect. I really enjoyed staying in Little Tokyo. The room was clean and housekeeping came regularly. My only two complaints are the fact that they never told me there was a rewards program even after I kept extending my reservation. I got to the end of an 11 day stay just to find out that I won’t be able to get credit for any of those days. Unfortunately, because of this, I will not be returning to this hotel. Someone should’ve told me that. Additionally, I asked for someone to help me with my bags. No one helped me with my luggage on the way in, mind you, but I saw other people getting concierge service. However; when I asked for it as I was leaving, they just dropped a luggage cart off on the floor. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not their traditional customer as I’m not Japanese, but that’s find it extremely rude to just drop off a luggage cart when someone ask for help with their bags. Not only that, but the luggage cart just ended up being in my way when I had to drag my own luggage downstairs. Because of those two reasons, I would not be returning to this hotel. I spent several thousand dollars here and you can’t even help me with my bags, that’s unacceptable. I also can’t tell you if this hotel has a pool or a gym because no one ever told me the features at all. I was on the elevator with someone that happened to stop on the second floor and that’s how I found out that there was an entire restaurant on the second floor that I could’ve been eating at the entire time had I known. They just took my money and sent me upstairs, albeit politely, but I just feel like I wasn’t their ideal customer. I didn’t use the bidet but as I was leaving, I noticed that there was an orange buildup inside of it, which is pretty disgusting as well. Parking being $45 a night is also pretty extreme.

Be careful staying here if you want SLIPPERS. I was told they didn't have any and the next day apparently SLIPPERS are only available for floors 9 and up. This shows that they are not organized. Never had this happen before which I why chose this location.
