Located in a quiet and cottage street of Beverly Hills, just a few metres from the bustle of Wilshire Boulevard, Maison 140 impresses with its human size and intimate atmosphere. The decor is signed by the Queen of interior decoration on the west coast: Kelly Wearstler. There is an unexpected mix between the Parisian style of the th century and the Asian style. The building dates back to 1930 and served as a place of residence to Lillian Gish, one of the greatest silent film stars.

The hotel was okay. We got it for half price, but had we paid full price it would have been way too much for the room we got. The room was tiny and the carpet in the hallway and room were filthy and had bald spots. Not the idea of a Beverly Hills hotel.

Se tardan mucho en darte la habitación y el recepcionista (gay descarado y sin tacto ni servicio al cliente) es muy déspota y se cree la gran cosa, ninguno habla español y el lugar es muy pequeño y con muchas fallas

Terrible experience at checkout. The room was paid for in advance and they tried to get me to pay again saying it wasn’t paid for and when I questioned it and told them not to charge the card on file they sneakily did anyway while they had my phone in the back room. When I said I couldn’t believe they did it, they did not care. Totally apathetic and did not care if they got a bad review, BBB report, or if I never stayed there again. BEWARE! This old musty place is running a scam.

The room was nice, the location was great, and the staff was subpar. It very much seems like they could give one eff about their customers. Be wary and check your bank statements for charges you don't recognize. I parked in front on a Saturday night. Meter parking doesn't require a 2-hour time limit after 6 pm and is not applicable on Sundays. The front desk guy said that I needed to pay $45 for parking because there is street cleaning every night. I was skeptical but went along with it. My wife and I left to get dinner and drove around the neighborhood and noticed street cleaning on Tuesdays, and there were no other signs that said no overnight parking. There were over ten spots in front that guests could have used for FREE parking, but everyone was conned into paying $45/night, and they knowingly knew this to be true on a Saturday night. I woke up and, as suspected, had no ticket because parking was permitted. I told him to take that charge off my bill and also told him he needed to be honest with guests and not try and generate additional revenue by lying about parking. Beware! You can park in front of this place on Saturday nights, every other night besides street cleaning night, according to the parking signs. Other than that, the place is lovely.

We were told there would be amenities such as a hair dryer, and they didn't even have that. The shower was incredibly small (I'm only 5'1, so that says a lot that it was small even for me). They stated that they had free parking at the front desk, and then I got the bill was charged $45 per night. They also charged us a $25 "urban bundle" fee per night. Don't stay here if you don't like being misled.
