My firm hosted our annual holiday party at Sofitel Beverly Hills in December of last year. The space itself was beautifully decorated and pristeen. I worked with the Director of Catering & Conference Service, Darian James, consistently throughout the planning process. Darian shared his insightful knowledge about the hotel during our tour and helped us select a space that would meet our budgetary and functional requirements. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the holiday party with mentions of the amazing food and attentive service. On the planning side, the team at Sofitel made it an effortless process for me to coordinate and their responsiveness was greatly appreciated.
Service was great. Location is convenient to a lot of sights in the area if you're visiting. For the money, I feel like I've gotten some fairly nicer rooms at other hotels. For example there wasn't any kind of USB port hookup; I ended up having to awkwardly use a USB port on the back of the TV unit. Even though everything is clean you can sometimes see some of the artifacts of years of stays which slightly undermines the elegant vibe. Room facing the hills was quiet from within the hotel and outside of it.
Stayed one night at this hotel in April. No issues with the check in process. Was given a room on the 3rd floor. Not sure if rooms on the other levels are different, but the rooms on the 3rd floor have small windows overlooking street level and seem to be not to the same standard as the rest of the hotel or the Sofitel brand. Beds felt like coil mattresses with a mattress topper. Bathroom was a tub/shower combo which felt a little less than luxurious. On the plus side, everything was very clean and the gym had excellent equipment for a hotel (I believe they offer memberships/training to locals as there was a lot of personal training going on the morning I was there). Location is pretty good in front of the Beverly Center. About a 30 minute walk to the Sunset Strip or the other direction to Rodeo Drive. Beware of fees when budgeting. Room cost was $350USD which was was on the high side already, but when checking out noticed that additional taxes/fees (some vague ones like "urban fee") totaled almost an extra 30% ($90USD).
The bed and bedding are really comfortable. The water pressure and products in the bathroom are great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is also great. There are many restaurants and shops you can walk to. This was our second stay at this location and we would stay here again.
** edit, thanks for reaching out and offering a customer service resolution. I look forwards to staying and being able to redact this review in favour of a glowing one. Thanks.
I have not yet had the pleasure of staying here but the pre booking experience so far is terrible!! I have booked a 4 night stay, then found a cheaper deal. Sofitel offer a "best price guarantee" which is nearly impossible to get. They have asked for screenshots, dates, terms conditions and anything else possible all to make getting the match next to impossible. WHY OFFER THIS???.
Yet I provided this all, only to be told a photo of the screen is not sufficient even if it shows the details requested.
Your customer service is a massive fail.
And because they took so long to respond I've now missed the cheaper deal window.
Pissed and disappointed.
Also I note the response from owner is reach out, but not once is there a direct email or phone number listed.
That is the Sofitel saying, just pay and shut up.
I love staying here. Every time I come it’s obvious how kind the employees are. Tonight especially! Kris went above and beyond. We ate at the restaurant too and it has a cool vibe.
Kris is the best employee ever we arrived late and was just so sweet and accommodating for our group. 10/10 would book again solely off of his fantastic hospitality
Very quiet hotel, comfortable bed and bedding. We always appreciate duvet vs flat sheets. Excellent welcoming experience and response from maintenance team. Highly recommend
It’s in a great location and the service is fantastic. Hotel is a bit old and rooms may benefit from a renovation.
I usually never get the print receipts and check it but I noticed an extra charge of parking on my bill which they removed it! $65.99 per night for parking seems too much although valet service is nice.
The stay at the Sofitel was phenomenal, highly recommended. Enrique the head of the valet was very professional and helpful. He is a keeper. Definitely I’ll return
The Sofitel Beverly Hills is located near Cedar Sinai Hospital which is so convenient for medical appointments. The best room to book is the luxe king room especially on Sunday night when there is no music in the bar area. We didn't eat in the restaurant on this visit but it is perfect for a late arrival. There are many restaurants in the vicinity also which are walkable from the hotel.
I recently had the pleasure of staying and it exceeded all of my expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, the room was beautifully decorated with a touch of French elegance, and the location was perfect for exploring the local shops and cafes. I can't recommend this hotel enough for anyone looking for a cozy and authentic French experience. 5 stars!
We stayed a couple of days for events in the area. So glad we chose Sofitel. We didn't expect such delicious risotto and it was a treat to have a Nespresso coffee maker in the room. The last night was the beautiful sound of live Jazz music in the restaurant/bar area and it did not disappoint.
When we visit LA again, this hotel is definitely are choice.
We did see two celebrities during our stay, I won't mention their names, but they were friendly and we played it cool. :)
