Self-described as "the oldest, darkest bar in Hollywood," this friendly, rootsy, rock'n'roll, unpretentious establishment caters to a fairly gothic crowd. With the bar covering half the space, you'll have to squeeze in close together - if only to hear each other - before continuing the conversation in the only alcove, lit by the dim light of a small candle conducive to confidences.
