Every year since 1986, the City of Angels has welcomed more than 25,000 runners, thousands of volunteers and hundreds of thousands of spectators for its marathon, one of the largest in the country. The 42.195-kilometer course begins at Dodger Stadium and passes through Downtown Los Angeles, Little Tokyo and Hollywood - among other places. Once in Brentwood, the athletes turn back to San Vicente, Sepulveda and Santa Monica Boulevards to reach the Avenue of the Stars, Century City's main thoroughfare, where the race ends.
